About Us
At Thrive Family Health & Education Center, we believe that strong families build strong communities. Our work is rooted in collective impact, bringing together parents, healthcare providers, educators, and community organizations to co-design solutions that improve the health and well-being of growing families.
Thrive began with a bold vision: to revolutionize the transition into parenthood and ensure every child has the foundation for a healthy future. By centering the voices of families and fostering cross-sector collaboration, we are transforming how communities support parents from preconception through early childhood.
Through lessons learned from Durham County’s Early Childhood Action Plan (ECAP) and our flagship initiative Pediatrics Supporting Parents and we’ve established a community-rooted promising practice that strengthens early childhood systems, enhances parental leadership, and integrates family-driven insights into pediatric and maternal health care. Our impact has grown beyond Durham County, as we work to replicate and scale this model across North Carolina.
Together, we are reshaping systems to ensure that every parent and child—regardless of their background—has access to the support, resources, and care they need to thrive.
